Drums are a very rewarding instrument to learn. For young people they offer a fairly instant return on time investment. You can be playing a basic beat after your first lesson. This encourages students to continue learning and not get discouraged.
Individual lessons are £15 for half an hour. Group lessons range from £7-9 per person per half hour. 1 hour individual lessons are £25.
Yes, I have experience working with students of all ages. I have a recommended starting age of 8 years old but this can depend on the individual child.
Having a drum kit to practise on is beneficial but not essential to learning. I can teach you how to put together a ‘virtual kit’ at home using a practise pad a chair and a few house hold items.
Lessons cover a range of skills including: technique, stick control, groove and fill playing, hand foot coordination, reading and writing drum music and much much more. During lessons you will also learn to play along with your favourite songs.
Yes, I can teach all styles from Jazz through to Metal and beyond. Lessons can be tailored to your particular taste in music.
Yes, I have experience guiding students through Rock School and Trinity Graded Exams with a 100% pass rate.
